Our parish entered into the Nativity Fast of 2004 desiring that the reality of our Lord’s incarnation would be manifest among us, and that we would have a unified vision for our future. Soon after the Feast of Theophany, we decided to begin the process of looking for a suitable piece of land on which to build a permanent gathering place. We purchased 5.78 acres of open grassy pasture dotted with mature oak trees on the western suburbs of Richmond, south of the James River.

We decided to proceed with a multi-phase project that would support our parish as it exists today, and also grow with us over the coming years. Our vision is to build a complete facility, in three phases, that is adequate to support a parish of approximately 200 people. We feel that it is important to begin construction with the building that will function as the gathering place for worship. Phase I of construction has this building initially partitioned for worship, education and fellowship (Phase 1 floor plan is available below). Phase II moves the education, fellowship, library and office spaces into an adjacent building, allowing the entire Phase I building to be used for worship. When our parish reaches the point of needing additional educational space, we will then proceed with Phase III which moves the fellowship space and kitchen into a third building, freeing up space in the Phase II building for additional classrooms. At this point our three-phase master plan will be complete.
